My mother and father are in their mid-fifties. Recently my father reached out to myself and my sister who are in our thirties to tell us that he can no longer stay in the relationship between him and my mother. She does not know yet. After listening to this episode I acknowledge that my mother exhibits almost all of the characteristics you had talked about as far as toxic. She is like this with not just my father but myself and my sister at times. How do we help her for us and maybe the help would extend to reserving the relationship between my father and my mother.
