Jennifer Hancock says
I get so much out of your podcast, thank you so much for doing this. My husband and I are in the process of divorce after 14 years of marriage. We have a 10 year old daughter and have been living apart for about 2 months, although we have been on the path to divorce for about 4-5 months. I am working through the process of this and I realize that it is still very new for me but I am struggling with detaching myself from my ex.
My daughter often wants to talk about my ex, which I have done my best to just listen. I find it debilitating when my daughter mentions that my ex is in a good mood or she gives me information that suggests he is out with someone. I do suspect that he is dating someone and honestly don’t really want to know. However I am struggling with the fact that he may be dating someone (or being happy at all) despite us not even filing for divorce yet. I know I have no say anymore but I could use some help with managing these feelings.
